On Friday morning August 8 2014, I woke up at 6:30am, my mom told me she and my grandpa was picking me up at 7... They got me at 8.
We drove for 8-9 hours until we reached our destination, Wisconsin USA. A.K.A the dairy state of the USA and home to the Green Bay Packers. So to sum it up I had cheese with every meal. One of my meals was cheese itself but I'll get to that later.
The hotel was really nice we stayed in The Double Tree by Hilton in Milwaukee. There was a pool, hot tub, and a gym, so standard things you have in hotels.
For supper, we went to T.G.I Friday. I got this flatbread thing that was sort of gross but the cheese on it was fantabulous! After that it was bed time, we were all tired and the time zone difference messed with us a little bit.
We went to the same place for breakfast both days we were there and I got eggs and pancakes. It was to filling to eat all of it but that's besides the point.
After breakfast, my mother and I went shopping which is always fun. I got clothes, shoes, a backpack, a couple accessories, and a small handbag purse. I got all of it in a store called Wet Seal. It was my first time in the store but I love it! It's a punk rock kind of store, check it out if you can but it's only in the states... Not Canada, it sucks.
We also went to a sport store that sold a bunch of team things, mainly the packers. I did get my friend a pen and a pencil for the Chicago bears because she loves that team, plus I got them free because the guy said I could just have them. My mom bought Packers stuff... And cheese heads.
Sadly, I didn't get to go into any music store because we were in a rush. Who goes shopping without buying music!?
Anyway, we went back to the hotel and went to my great aunts and great uncles memorial service. I didn't really know them but it was good to go. Once it was done the family that was there all went out to a fancy winery restaurant. The wine was extraordinary. The dinner was long lasting and I'm talking about 4 hours of it being long lasting. That's when I ordered a cheese platter for my supper, most of the cheeses were good.
My grandpa, my mom, my aunt and uncle, my moms' cousin, her husband, and I went back to our hotel and spent another couple hours drinking wine outside in the hotels courtyard. After that we all headed to bed and that was the end of the second day.
The third day which is today we got up, my mom and I went to the gym for a while and then once we finished we all went for breakfast. After that we packed our bags and set off on the long car ride home.
On the way home we stopped at Marren Dunes State Park. We climbed up what looked like the tallest dune. The view from the top was incredible, you could see for miles around. After climbing it we ran down and then ate lunch.
I didn't have internet for three or four days so hello world I have missed you... Well not really but you know what I mean.
Until next time, ~ Vic
