Ive been very into this videos on YouTube lately so I decided I was going to try it out. I’m not the best at editing photos or anything but I couldn’t resist at least trying.
The first person I choose was Ariana Grande. I choose two pictures to try to recreate, I honestly didn’t think it would be that hard because they’re simple poses and picture but it look me a couple hours to get the two pictures and I know they’re not dead on but I have to say I was kinda impressed. I tried these ones first because they’re more selfie like than the rest so I could do them on my own.
The next person I did was Jade Thirlwall. Hers wasn't that hard to do. It took me a few minutes and it was done! I feel like all the ones I did on my own weren’t exact because I couldn’t get the exact right angle but I tried my best!
The remainder of the picture my cousin help take. The first one we tried was Jesy Nelson from little mix. We went to a graffiti alley to get the words behind and this was the most similar. It’s not the exact same but I think it looks alright.
This one was difficult because we could not find a yellow background anywhere! I had to stand on a chair to get this and I admit it’s probably the worst one but I still love how it turned out. This is recreating Madelaine Petsch picture.
I live this picture!! I was recreating Gal Gadot picture and think this is one of the best ones! It’s pretty similar but unfortunately I dropped my donut on the ground after this was taken and was really sad I couldn’t eat it.
Both my cousin and I agree this is the best one. My outfit is almost the same other than small detail and the pose is pretty similar as well as the background. I liked all the picture taken from this shoot while recreating Lauren Jauregui from the former band Fifth Harmony.
This was recreating Chrissy Costanza from Against the Current. I think the outfit and pose was very similar but because of the colour of my hair it doing look quite right.
I had so much fun doing these and maybe I’ll do it again sometime. I love getting pictures taken and taking direction and seeing the ending turn out so great! I hope you enjoyed and let me know your favourite!
The first month of a new year gone. It always seems that January lasts twice as long as every other month in a year. A month that not much happens in. For me on January 5th, I got my second holes pierced. This is something I’ve been wanting for about ten years but never got up the courage to just do it, so that’s what I did. In a quick second I just did it before I could rethink it and I’m so happy I did! I love the way it looks and now I want even more!
In the summer my cousin is moving into her own place. We’ve been starting to look at home stores for her to get some items. She has birds so we went on a little car trip (three hours each way in one day) to get a bird stand which was fun! The bird stand was in Milton where we also stopped in their mall but didn’t get anything.
I started a new job at Dominos this month which I’m excited for! It’s a little different than my last location but I think it will be great!
Second Semester started at the beginning of January. I’ve already had a couple mid-terms within the month but I think this semester has been going well so far!
My boyfriend went on a couple dates this month to the casino buffet, to East-Side Mario’s, and on a dinner-arcade-movie date like our old time dates when we first started dating which I loved!
I’ve been really depressed and stressed this month. It happens off and on that’s just the way it is. To try and help me feel better, Kody got me flowers this month which was really sweet. We were able to go out for dinner a couple times and have a good time together.
In this month I watched You and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. In theatres I watched Aquaman, Second Act, and Glass.
I completed playing Sipder-Man which was such an amazing game!
This month I’ve been reading Clash of Kings which I feel like I’ve been reading forever!! So my goal is to at least read a chapter a day to get it done!
Favourite purchase of the moth we’re my new foundation and concealer. I’ve been loving both of them a lot and they’ve been working well with my skin. Another item my boyfriend and I bought that I’m happy about is all seven seasons of Game of Thrones box. My final and favourite purchase of all is Kingdom Hearts 3.
Welcome to a new year of Boxycharm! It’s more popular than ever and hopefully that means it will get better and better each month! The January box theme was Boxy and Chill for a lazy month. This subscription box is $20 USD a month if you’re interested my link is here: https://www.boxycharm.com/refer/Victoria-LBQWVYES
Opening it up revealed amazing products off the bat! Starting with the Brioeo Don’t Despair, Repir! I don’t use many things on my hair but this is a strengthening spray I know I will use!
The next item was probably my favourite in the box. It’s the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume III. I’ve seen these and wanted to buy them so many time so I’m glad I was able to get one. I’ve used it and it’s amazing! Very pigmented and blinding even without setting spray!
The next item was a Star Looks eyeliner in brown and I was really disappointed in this. I’ve only used it once but it was crumbly and I just was not a fan.
The next product was an Ofra liquid lipstick in Havana Nights, a beautiful deep red shade I’m super excited to try! I’ve heard so many good things about Ofra lip products but have never tried one on my own!
The last item actually came with two items which was two Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Masks. For Christmas I have away a lot of my masks so now I’ll be able to try the ones I really want to out such as these ones!
Ovall I think this box was great! Four high brand items and only one bad product in the box which might have been because I got a faulty one. If this year’s boxes are going to be this good I’ll be one happy customer!!
Second Act is about an empowering women trying to find her place in the world. She knows she’s worth more than what she’s dealing with and is given an opportunity to make something of herself. She proves herself good enough to others and herself. It is a heartwarming and empowering movie. It was not what I thought it would be based on the trailer but in a good way. It has a twist in the story that’s unexpected but beautiful. It makes you tear up at times and laugh at others. I really enjoyed it and think it gives off strong messages to the audience which is a good thing to take from films. The storyline was well written and thought out which showed in the film and helped it become as great as movie as it is! It also had some great actors I enjoy seeing which helped.
Hello everyone! So this box was actually December’s BoxyCharm which I got the BoxyLuxe. I don’t know if that’s why it was so late but it was really disappointing that it didn’t even come in the right month. It could also be because of the holidays but still. This is my first time getting the BoxyLuxe so let’s go through it together. All prices in this are in USD. The BoxyLuxe is a little more expensive by an extra $20 each time they come out which is once a season and it comes with ten items. If you would like to join here is an affiliate link which you don’t have to use but thank you if you do! https://www.boxycharm.com/refer/Victoria-LBQWVYES
For starters it’s literally twice the size of a normal box. This thing was huge!
Opening it up didn’t give me too much about it so I just dived into the first item. The first thing I grabbed was PYT Mini Hair Straightener. This costs $75 which is already more than how much you pay for the box. I love the colour of this, I know people got different colours but I’m glad with the one I received. I love this so much, it’s perfect for traveling and although I have naturally straight hair it’s nice to have a straightener for when my hair is up in a ponytail all day and I want to get rid of a crease. It’s also perfect for any baby hairs that are deciding to misbehave.
The next item is Spongelle Body Wash Infused Buffer which retails for $20. It is a sponge to wash yourself with which I don’t think I will keep I will probably give it to a friend. I’m just not fond of using soap bars or sponges I like using body wash, that’s just me.
The third item comes with 8 items in 1 package. This package is Luxie Rose Gold Complete Face Brush Set which retails for $65 which again is more than what you are paying for the box. It comes with a foundation blush, highlighter brush, powder brush, two blending blushes, defined brush, brow and lash spookiest, and a lip brush. This one item is good enough to make the box from what I had seen so far, you’re getting so many items but it counts as just one. I love this brand as well I use their brushes all the time and will now have some doubles which I don’t mind at all!
The next product is the Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream. It says to apply before primer to help prevent wrinkles on the skin. It retails for $89 which is the most expensive item in this box. I don’t have a problem with wrinkles yet if anywhere just on my forehead. This probably won’t get much use, I might give it to someone who will have more use for it.
The next item counted as two items because it was Crimes of Beauty Wristlet and Portable Charger which costs $22. The little bag is cute and the charger is conpadable with both android and IPhones. Both items are cute and will for sure get used!
The next product has such beautiful packaging is Wander Beauty Dusk to Dawn Blush & Highlight Palette which reatails for $26. This comes with two blushes and one highlight. I feel like this would be good for travel since it has both a beautiful blush and highlight in a small package. I’m excited to test it out!
When I saw this next item I got super excited! I’ve heard so many good things about this brand and know it is a little pricey! It’s the Violet Voss Pro HG Palette. The colours look so pretty in the palette and I am beyond excited to test this baby out, I’ve always wanted tot try a palette from this brand but never went through with it so I am so thankful it was in this box!
The next item is Lorax Pro Pomade Mascara which costs $24. It says that it is smudge-proof and flake-proof to ad thickness, shine, curl, and length. That’s a lot so I’m interested to see how good it really is.
The last item in this box is from Tarte, it’s the Glitter Lip Paint in the shade Strike Gold which retails at $20. I have used a different shade before but honestly it was so long ago I don’t remember how I felt about it so pumped to use this shade!
Overall, this box was amazing! The total price came to $386 which is insane!! This was such a great box and the products definitely made it worth the wait. I’m going to be using most of the products as well which makes me happy, the only ones I’ll probably not be using are the Spongelle, which I might try I’m not 100% on giving it away yet, and the Elemis cream. I can’t wait to make a look with all my new beauty products and when I do I will leave the picture down below!
This is the look I made with the eyeshadow palette, the blush and highlight, the mascara, and the lip paint. I loved the eyeshadow palette and will be using it again! I really liked the blush I used as well but the highlight is almost to dark on me so I might try using it on my lids. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the mascara it just didn’t do what I was hoping. I can’t fully judge the Lip product since I did have a lipstick on underneath but it does give a nice sheen on the lips. I’m happy how the look turned out though!
Over winter break I was able to watch Aquaman with my boyfriend and he and I loved it! It’s tied with Wonder Women for being the best DC movie. There was great acting along with the heartfelt story. It was both action packed with the loving feel. A lot lighter and happier than most DC movies which made it nice to watch. They left it so there can be a second one which I hope they make one since it was that good! Arthur has a realistic quality to him where he doesn’t always think things through but he’s witty with a great personality that makes him humorous. I highly recommend this movie to action lovers out there because it is a fantastic one!!
Another year is over and so much happened within the year. Lots of adventures and fun, but also sadness and drama. Overall it was pretty great though and it was a year of first! I got to meet my first famous person and ended up meeting multiple. I also had my first airplane ride. I will go through the months but I might skip some if I didn’t do anything to exciting.
February 11, Kody and I were able to bring our first fur babies together home. They were, and still are, loving and adorable. We have given them our full love since we got them and can’t wait for many more years with them!!
April started with my friends Bachelorette party which was so much fun! Everyone had a blast playing games and drinking a lot!!
A few days after the party something I will remember for the rest of my life happened. I got my first broken bone and had to deal with an annoying splint for the next couple months through events and everything.
For Kody’s Grandmothers birthday, we went to a play, An American in Paris which was pretty good. Just felt awkward with my cast in the limo we took.
April 25, a friend and I went to see Camila Cabello who was incredible!! We both had a great time and I’m excited for all the concerts I have coming this year!
In May, our kittens got fixed and Lady had to wear a cone. She looked so cute but she was so sad in it she slept most of the time.
In May was the bridal shower for my friend. I won a game and got the mug as a prize and everyone got a nail polish and file which I thought was super cute!
May 25th weekend, we went camping with Kody’s family and then stopped to get ice cream and visit Erieau on the way home. I love camping and going back to places of my childhood with good memories!
June started with the wedding! It was beautiful and so much fun! We danced till late and had lots to drink celebrating their love to one another.
June 26, Kody and I went to Toronto to watch Wicked which was phenomenal! We loved everything about it and definitely want to see it again!
In July I had my apartment warming party now that it was finally put together! We ate food, played card games, and ended the night with bowling which was super fun!
This month we also went to a baby shower unlike any before because it was in a brewery! It was mainly just mingling among people you knew but it was a good night celebrating my aunt and uncle!!
The beginning of August was amazing! I got on my first flight and headed off to Mexico! We were there for five days and just had a blast! I swam with dolphins, saw ruins, swam in a sinkhole, went zip lining for the first time ever, relaxed, and ate a lot of food! It was an amazing experience that I would love to do again!
That month I also went to Algonquin with my cousin and we hiked so many trails! It was so much fun and the sights were amazing! We also decided to go to Ottawa for fun and it was the first time for us both being there. We definitely want to go again!
The first day of September I went to another wedding and had a great time there. There was so much laughter, food, and dancing. I had such a great time since I hadn’t seen them in so long!
School also started in September and it was very nerve racking at first but after making a friend or two it was fun. Excited for the new semester!
Near the end of September I was able to go to a Harry Potter convention and met Bonnie Wright!! My first famous person and it was incredible!!
In October I had to dress for school and work so I dressed up as Ariana Grande and Betty Cooper. I had so much fun and actually gained some confidence in the Ari outfit.
The first weekend of November we flew out to Rhode Island for a Comic-Con where I got to meet more famous people I love! It was so crowded in the event but the experience was so much fun just wish we could have stayed for another day.
The new Fantastic Beast movie came out this month which we saw opening night and loved!! I’m so excited for the next one!
In December I went tothe lights our city puts up four times with friends and family. It’s beautiful and great for taking cute pictures.
Christmas time came and I had many parties. One for work, one with Kody’s family and two with my family. We had fun visiting and at one of mine making balloons animals, although we could only figure out the dog!
Overall it was an amazing tear that I partied into the new one with my friend! I can’t wait to see what this year brings. I do have 3 concerts planes already so right now I’m really looking forward to those!
Many famous people partner with brands to make merchandise or makeup that can be expensive. Becky G decided to work with the cheaper but amazing brand, Colourpop! I have loved Becky G since the second I saw Becky From the Block to her current Spanish music she is killing right now. I got the PR package with everything in it for $58 USD.
This package comes with an eyeshadow pallet called Salvaje, two highlights, and five lip products. The packaging is so beautiful and I love everything in it!
The pallet comes with 12 shadows and a mirror and the names are under the colours which I always love! They are super buttery and pigmented! The pallet on its own is $18 USD.
There are 2 Luster Dust highlights. A more pearly one named princesa and a more bronzy one named Chisme. I’ve never tried luster dust highlights before but I tried Chisme and it was beautiful. It was more natural not blinding but still a nice glow.
It comes with five lip products in the colours Secreto, Flor, Besame, Mija, and Chola. I loved all of these colours!!! The pictures are in the order I listed to see the colours.
this was the complete look I made, it was fairly simple look with the peachy and orange colours but I loved everything! From the eyes to all the lip products and even the highlights. Everything is well priced as well so such great quality and I believe you could use this pallet all year round for many different looks!
Hello everyone! It’s a new season for FabFitFun and I am living for this box! It’s partnered with kindness Factory which is a great organization! Come join the family!
so even just at a glance this box looks so great, wintery, and cozy!
The first thing I grabbed was Bearpaw Combo Set: Headband and Pop-Top Glove Duo. I love that these are black so they can go with any winter outfit. They’re super cute and great quality too, I can already see Instagram picture coming with these on! They retail for $45 which I think is pretty standard for a good pair of gloves and a head band.
The next item is from Bite Beauty, it’s the Amuse Bouche Lipstick in the shade Meringue. I love the shade and have never actually tried Bite Beauty products before and I keep saying I want to so this is a perfect infroduction for me! It retails at $26 which is normal for a lipstick that would be sold at Sephora.
The next item is Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask with Hyaluronic Acid. Can never go wrong with some eye masks! It comes with 5 for $29 which I think is actually really good! I’ve never heard of the brand before but I’m definitely trying these bad boys out!
The next product is by Ahava which is a brand we’ve gotten in the box before and I really like. This time we received a Hydration Cream Mask. My face is super dry all year and gets even worse in the winter so I’m glad this box set me up! This can be used as either a hydration boost or and overnight mask which I’ve been looking for an overnight hydrating mask for a while now so this works out perfectly! It retails for $33 which again I find is pretty standard for these type of masks.
The next item is by Thrive Cosmetics and it’s their Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella. Before knowing it was going to be in this box I never heard of Thrive Cosmetics but it’s actually been gaining some hype over the last couple months and I’ve heard good thing about this product so I’m excited to give it a whirl! It retails for $24 which is good for the product!
There are a few beauty products in this seasons box which I’m okay with, this next one is the Be Your Selfie by Pur. I only have one other pallet from them but I love it! I have high hopes for this beautiful pallet which retails for $36 which is normal for smaller pallets.
This next item I knew I wanted as soon as I saw a little preview for it! It’s something I’ve wanted and needed while traveling for the longest time and I’m so glad someone made this! It’s the H Halston Jewery Portfolio which keeps your accessories together and tangle free while traveling. There’s a spot for necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings and more! Ive always complained when packing accessories so this is a game changer!! It’s good quality as well and cute simple design. It retails for $48 which I do think is a little expensive but I’m glad I got it and would probably buy this if it didn’t come in the bag because I know I’m going to use the crap out of this and again as I mention before it’s really good quality so I know it’s going to last for a long time!
The next item I got did actually leak a little bit after contacting FabFitFun they are going to sent out a new one for me. They’re always really good about fixing mistakes made which is another reason I love this box! This is Aay of Will Elevate Essential Oil Set: Sweet Oarange and Eucalyptus. I like the scents just with it leaking it was so strong! In the little booklet you get it tells you what these and other scents are good for which I think is really helpful! Sweet orange used on the temples or stomach can help cramps and headaches while eucalyptus can help when applied to sore muscles. This retails for $31 which is pretty good compared to what I’ve seen some essential oils go for.
For an additional $10 I added the Sherrie Matthews Acupuncture Jade Stone Roller because this is something I’ve wanted but they’re actually so expensive! This retails for $45 but I’m glad I got it and hope it helps my skin routine. I will say for the price I was kinda disappointed it wasn’t put together the best or maybe I had a defective one but mine broke minutes after opening it. I was able to put it back together but I know I’m going to have to be super gentle with it.
The last item in the box was a Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw in Gray/Ivory. It is soft and good material with a great Look to spice up any room! It retails for $49 which is typical for throws of this quality!
Overall I was super impressed with my box! There is not one thing I won’t use and don’t love! This is probably the best box I’ve gotten in a while! All the products for me added up to $366 including the Jade Roller I added. Without it would be $321 which is still an amazing price for what I spend on it that’s over three times the amount spent!
Another thing that was in their booklet I wanted to share from this season was a self-care little guide for 2019. FabFitFun always encourages the best you and praises self-care which I love! I know this is something that I might followe because I get stressed easy and looking at a guide and doing one thing for myself a week can really help so I wanted to share it in case there’s a change it can help anyone else!
I hope you enjoyed the box as much as I did! If you get the box yourself what was your favourite item? Did you get anything different than me? Let me know in the comments below!!
Hello everyone! Is it just me or did November fly by! It was such an amazing month for the most part and it definitely started off amazingly!!
My favourite things are Harry Potter, Smallville, Marvel, and Game of Thrones for those of you who are unaware. At the beginning of the month my boyfriend and I got a flight to Rhode Island for the Comic-Con and it was an amazing experience! Laura gave me a picture for free and was so incredibly nice to me. I got autographs from Laura, Tom, and Michael from Smallville. I got a picture with Natalia Tena who plays in both Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Then I got professional pictures with Tom Felton, Elizabeth Henstridge, as well as Tom, Michael, and Laura. I am so thankful for having this experience since it’s something I’ve dreamed of for so long! While we were there I also go some pop figures I’ve been missing or wanting, a couple of Christmas presents, and a couple of miscellaneous items. We had a good weekend in Rhode Island and a safe plane ride home. If you want to see some of what we did I posted a YouTube video on it; https://youtu.be/uhM5gmxLffw
This month Fantasic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald came out into theatre and Kody and I went out opening night. We got a free poster and I bought the niffler in the picture above. I loved the movie and want to see it again so badly!
On the 17th, while I was at work my license plates got stolen off of my car which was a big inconvenience for my boyfriend and I but we managed. We had to get new ones the following Monday and report the original plates missing.
The same day my lisence plates got stolen my friend from work had her birthday party. Kody and I went for a couple hours and had a good time. There was a photo station which printed out the pictures right away which I love when events have these, there was food, and we had a couple drinks. We had a good time which was needed after the stressful day!
On the 21st, my friend celebrated her birthday with her friends. Only myself and three other girls could go but we just stayed at her house playing Jenga and Pictionary. We had pizza and good laughs throughout the night until we all went home. Another great night I’m thankful I was invited to!
In the last week I sprained my back and had many assignments to work on.
This month I watched The Nutcracker and the Four Realmes, Halloween, Fantastic Beasts the Crimes of Grindelwald twice, as mentioned above, and A Star Is Born. I enjoyed all the movies and have a couple reviews out for a couple of them as well!
This month I was also able to start ready a book my friend lent to me a while ago. It’s The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman and honestly I’d recommend this to anyone in a relationship it’s very enlightening and a good read. I’m half way through and can’t wait to get through the rest.
