A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend and I saw the new Lion King. Although they just pretty much updated animation and CGI it was really great seeing the classic tale look more realistic. It looked and sounded really good, however, there were a few songs I liked the original version more than in this movie such as 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'. That is a personal preference and I know many people like this version and I am not saying this one is bad because it isn't, I just prefer the older version. They used very popular individuals as the voices and the voice director Jon Favreau did a great job and it's still the beautiful story great for any age group. It makes me happy knowing the newer generations are getting into Disney the same way I did when I was younger!
Summer is almost over, just one more month to go. I feel like July flew by and I didn't do much other than work even though I did go a few places.
July 1st My boyfriend and I went to a beach but it was so cold we went to his parents place to go swimming in their pool. We played pool volleyball and badminton which was so much fun!
My friend and I went to London to try and sell some of our clothes, she was able to sell quite a lot of hers but the place we went said mine were too professional for the type of clothes they try to sell. We also went to the mall and I got a South Side Serpant jacket which I'm so happy about.
The same friend I went to London with, we went downtown for a night and had so much fun! There was a little too much pregameing but still a lot of fun! We didn't stay out too late which I also like so we didn't spend too much money but still had such a good time before getting pizza.
My boyfriend and I were invited to a Stag and Doe so we went to that where there were drinks and games and old friends I haven't seen in almost a year. We had a great time and on the way home there was a beautiful sunset we stopped to watch.
My boyfriend and I went camping for a couple days. We went blueberry picking, lots of hikes, visited his family for dinner, went to a couple waterfalls, and grand bend where we met up with my cousins which was so much fun. I love going on hike and seeing new places as well as camping which we bought a new tent and chairs and stuff for camping which is super exciting.
This months box theme is Au Naturale which I love, it's a natural looking box and some are environmentally friendly which I love.
The first item is a three piece brush set that came in a little brown paper to recycle instead of plastic which I love and if all Luxie products are going to be packaged like this it is the only place I will buy brushes from. The handles are also wooden and show in the detail of them but it seems like they are waxed because they are not rough like wood which I'm thankful for because I cant touch wood it irritates my skin but these are perfect!
These are $30 USD or $39.51 CAD on their website:
The next product is from Butter London. I know this brand has been in the box before on a product I wasn't to fond of but this pallet looks really cute and perfect for everyday looks with a pop of blue at the far right mostly cut out of the picture. It retails for $32 USD but I could not find it on their website so it might have been made for this box.
The third item is by the brand Elemis, it is the Superfood Vital Veggie Mask. I'm not completely sure about this but since it says veggie I'm assuming it's good products inside to make the mask. It retails for $35 which I don't think I would spend on masks but I will use it since I got it in the box.
This next item is Alamar Cosmetics Mother of Pearl Gloss. Although it looks very golden in the tube I found it looks clear and shiny which I really enjoyed. I didn't think it was sticky or gloppy at all until it kinda faded away there was a little stickiness for a little which but it wasn't bad at all. It's only $10 which is really good and I do want to try the other shades to see if it does look differently.
The last product is an Appeal gel Liner in brown which I do like using a brown liner to look more natural sometimes so i'm looking forward to testing this out. This goes for $21,
Overall, I was really happy with this month I know I'll use everything in here and with it being more natural more people probably liked it since it wouldn't be crazy or out of their comfort zone. The total price for the items inside come to $128.
This movie is amazing! It takes a while to get action but it is very humorous but touching at the beginning. There’s a couple plot twists some expected and others not so much. As the last part of this phase it ended on a major twist which was so unexpected! I suggest this movie to any action lover and anyone who has been loving the marvel universe. The acting was amazing as well as the locations and CGI. I’m definitely seeing it again in theatres!
Another month gone and I’m sorry I didn’t post anything I should be back on track next month I’ve just been taking some time for me these last couple months and it was well needed! I started the month going to see the comedian Tom Segura which was hilarious! He has some shows on Netflix if you want to check him out.
Next my boyfriend and I went to a strawberry fest where we didn’t really take any pictures while we were there. We went on a couple rides, I got cotton candy, and we had some strawberries of course.
My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years this month! To celebrate we went to Canada’s Wonderland! We had so much fun and both went out of our comfort zones for a couple rides that ended up being so much fun!
It seemed to be the month of fairs because we also went to our cities festival where the rides there were so much fun!! We didn’t think we’d have as much fun as we did.
My cousin and I went camping and hiking for many hours. We went to Flower Pot Island and hiked the grotto along with part of the Bruce Trail. We had so much fun throughout the day.
This month I finished watching Agents of Shield (at least the seasons that are on crave). I went to the movies so many times! I saw Aladdin twice, Dark Phoenix twice and Secret Life of Pets which were all so amazing!
My favourites for this month start off with my new amazing shoes!! Vans partnered with Harry Potter creating a bunch of shoes. I got the slytherin and wanted the nap but these were the only ones available in my size but I am so incredibly happy they had these ones. I also got an oversized top from the collection that I’m in love with that I plan to make a t-shirt dress.
It is easy for me to stay my summer started and finished in May this year. Everything I've had planned is done, no more concerts and no more trips other than helping my cousin move in August. I had so much fun with the events and trips I was able to go on this year so I don't mind and I still might be able to go on day trips sometimes. For the month of May I sadly only had one post which I hope doesn't happen again but I just started a new job within the month and with my trips and adjusting to working at five in the morning I didn't have any time.
From May 6-13 my friend and I went to Cuba!! We stayed in Varadero for a week and had so much fun there! The first day we didn't do much but we did find a lizard/gecko thing in our room we had to et rid of because they never sent someone to help us when we asked. The next day we did some swimming and relaxing. A similar day happened the following but but we finished the day with an a la carte.
The next day we went to Havana which is a place I've always wanted to go to! We got to view the Hemingway house, walk through the new and old cities, visit the graveyard, ride around in old cars, and watch the canon fire into the bay at the end of the night. It was an amazing experience!
The following day was another chilling day other than going into town to a flea market and then we went to our room that night to do a face mask I brought.
Our second last day, we went to the city of Matanza. We went down the first tourism spot in Cuba which was an old underground cave. We then walked around an old pharmacy which I thought was super interesting. It started raining so we went in a hotel for a drink and then saw the last couple buildings before leaving back to the resort. That night we also went downtown to a bar which we loved! They played rock music and we just had a blast!
The last day we just swam and chilled around getting ready for home.
We had such a fun time there and I would for sure go again some day!
May 20th, my cousin and I went to The Punch Bowl to see the little waterfall and that night we saw Twenty One Pilots who were amazing! I didn't know too many of their newer music but they put on an incredible and entertaining show!
This month I read one short book on the flight to Cuba, Very Good Lives by J.K. Rowling.
I finished Game of Thrones, the season of Flash, Riverdale and Dynasty, watched Conversations with a Serial Killer, and have been watching Agents of Shield and The Haunting of Hill House.
This month other than going to a couple of concerts I didn't do too much. It was my exam month so lots of studying and final assignments.
On April 5th my friend and I went to the Little Caesar's Area to go see Ariana Grande. I've been her once before but this time was even better! She always does an amazing job and way above expectation. Normani opened for her and she did a great job as well!
The next Friday, Kody and I went to The Crofoot to see Against the Current. I've been listening for years so I was so excited to see them! They were so good and both the people who opened for them were good. I also loved the merch I bought from the show. I did buy a t-shirt from the Ariana Grande that I really like as well.
Sadly, my friend and brother broke up this month so with my friend, we went to get ice cream and then we went axe throwing before dinner. Axe throwing was so much fun and I would definitely do it again.
This month I also went to Adventure Bay with my cousin and had a couple Easter dinners one with Kody's family and one with mine.
I finished school and now only have one year left.
For those of you who are unaware Urban Decay partnered with Game of Thrones to create a makeup collection. I wanted to buy the entire collection but it sold out so quickly! So I wasn’t able to get either of the brushes and the other item that was sold out was the Cersei lipstick but the collection is going to Sephora soon so I hope I am able to get it then.
The first item I got was was the pallet, the packaging on everything was amazing! The outside is swords representing the iron throne. When you open it up there is a quote from Daenerys Targaryen and there is a tap you can pull up and underneath was the Iron Throne and a quote from Tyrion.
The next item is the Mother of Dragons Highlight Palette with three highlights inside named after each dragon Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal. The only colour I can use is Drogon and I did manage to use Viserion by adding a pearl colour on top which worked. Rhaegal is a beautiful shimmer that will be really nice for the lid on a good eyeshadow look.
The last four items I got was the waterproof eyeliner. There is four colours Winterfell Snow which is a beautiful white, Dragon Smoke which is a purply red, Lannister Gold a golden colour, and The Night King a nice blue. I’ve only used one but it lasted all day and night and was easy to apply as well.
I love all the products and am thrilled Game of Thrones willing partnered which such a great brand such as Urban Decay. They picked such great colours to represent the places and people. Anyone who got their hands on the items must be extremely happy with the quality and this collaboration.
Here is an updated list of all the makeup I have gotten since mt last post at the ends of February. I will link all the items I can if anyone is interested in getting the item for themselves.
The first items I got was the Maybelline Puma collaboration. I purchased three of the liquid lips and the mascara. I wanted to try the highlight but it was unavailable in my area. The three colours in the liquid lips I got were Epic, Fearless, and Unstoppable. I use Epic the most out of the three, usually I wear that and the mascara when I go to the gym and they both stay on so well.
This collection also has Matte & Metallic eye shadow stick duos and colour & gloss duo face sticks but neither of those interested me.

These three products I got using a discount my mother gets from working at Rexall. The three products I purchased were Physicians formula Butter Bronzer, Burt's Bees Blush (I got this because I watch Kathleen Lights and she kept raving about these blushes), and NYX Eyebrow Pencil. I've used all three more than once since I've gotten them and love each one of these.
I can't find the eyebrow pencil unfortunately.
The next purchase was a big one from Colourpop. The Disney Villains collection came out so I got the palette and four of the lipsticks and while I was at it, I finally got the Disney Designer collections palette and two lipsticks.
I have used this palette a couple of times and it is absolutely stunning! It is called Misunderstood and the packaging for both the palette and the lipsticks are beautiful! I almost wanted to keep the boxes because how nice they were. I bought the Hades, Dr. Facillier, Maleficent, and the Evil Queen Creme Lux Lipsticks. Lately my lips have been extremely dry so I haven't been using a lot of lip products on them so I've only tried the Hades and Dr. Facillier lipstick from this collection. They do feel good on the lips even with mine being super dry. They don't stay on all day long but I don't mind having to reapply.

The formulation for this palette is very similar to the other one so I love using this for simple everyday looks. This palette was named 'It's a Princess Thing'. As well as the villain collection the packaging on these were amazing! The two Creme Lux Lipsticks I got from this collection are the Ariel and Belle. I have used both of the lipsticks and they are also the same formula as the ones above so my same opinion applies to these ones.
The last produce I purchased was the Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer in the shade Inda Sun. This bronzer is incredible, it looks so natural on the skin and matches my skin tone so well. Fenty Beauty always seems to go a great job!
