Since the Beginning of 2019 these are some of the newer products I’ve gotten. A couple are old products but I wanted to add them anyways to show them off.
The first two items were for the Chinese New Year. It’s now the year of the pig and a ton of brands came out with products to represent this. Because Cosmetics came out with a highlighter called ‘Year of the Pig’ which is beautiful and cute! When you open it you can see a little outline of a pig!
Now, although I have so many red lipsticks in my collection I had to get the Rouge Fetiche by Givenchy purely for the packaging! It’s so beautiful! My favourite flower is cherry blossoms so the package just called my name and I got it. I’ve never owned a Givenchy product but it went on so nice and smooth and stayed on the lips for such a long time. New favourite red.
The next time I bought something was the new Clinique ID hydrating jelly. It’s a neat new combination with multiple choices for your unique skin needs. This was a good combination for my dry skin but they have other colours for other need which I think is so good to have because everyone is different!
The last package I bought was from Colourpop. Kathleen Lights came out with a loose pigment collection with them and I wanted to get it! While I was getting that I also finally got her very popular Dream Street Pallet. With the order came with a free e3 brush and the All Star Setting Spray.
With this collection it came with a small booklet with information on all the signs which I will be keeping. The packaging for this is so beautiful! I don’t want to get rid of it!! The way it looks in the light just shines. Kathleen did such a great job as she always does! I can’t wait to test these!
I’m super excited about all my new products! Some I’ve tried and others I can’t wait to experiment with. Do you have any of these products? If so let me know!
The February box theme was ‘After Glow’. All retail prices is in USD.
The first item in the box is from Touch in SOL. I’ve never heard of this brand before but it’s their No Pore Bork Primer. I actually don’t use primers all that often so I don’t know how much use I’ll get out of this. It retails for $18 which I would say is a pretty good price.
The second item is is a Magnetic Luminous Eye Colour by Nudestix. It retails for $24. I’ve never used an eyeshadow pencil so I don’t know how I feel about this item.
The third item is the incredibly popular Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced. It retails for $24, I’ve never actually used it before now and I do like what it does to my lashes but I found to be a little flaky. I've heard so many good things so I’ll try it again for sure!
The second last item is the Bronzed B, Bronzer by Pretty Vulgar. This retails for $32. At first glance I wasn’t too happy getting this item but after using it I’m glad! It’s supper pigmented, a little goes a long way! At first I thought it was going to look muddy (but could have also been because I took a lot thinking it wouldn’t be that pigmented) but it blended out quite well!
The final item is by Sol de Janeiro. It is their Coco Cabana Cream. I’m always down for a new moisturizer! Plus the smell of this is amazing!! It retails for $20 and if it’s anything like the Bum Bum Cream I’m so excited for this!
Overall it wasn’t my favourite box I’ve gotten. Two of the items I won’t be using often, if ever, but two I really enjoyed! The final item I’m torn about but I will be using. 3/5 is still good but I hope next month is a little better. Just wasn’t too excited this month.
Ive been very into this videos on YouTube lately so I decided I was going to try it out. I’m not the best at editing photos or anything but I couldn’t resist at least trying.
The first person I choose was Ariana Grande. I choose two pictures to try to recreate, I honestly didn’t think it would be that hard because they’re simple poses and picture but it look me a couple hours to get the two pictures and I know they’re not dead on but I have to say I was kinda impressed. I tried these ones first because they’re more selfie like than the rest so I could do them on my own.
The next person I did was Jade Thirlwall. Hers wasn't that hard to do. It took me a few minutes and it was done! I feel like all the ones I did on my own weren’t exact because I couldn’t get the exact right angle but I tried my best!
The remainder of the picture my cousin help take. The first one we tried was Jesy Nelson from little mix. We went to a graffiti alley to get the words behind and this was the most similar. It’s not the exact same but I think it looks alright.
This one was difficult because we could not find a yellow background anywhere! I had to stand on a chair to get this and I admit it’s probably the worst one but I still love how it turned out. This is recreating Madelaine Petsch picture.
I live this picture!! I was recreating Gal Gadot picture and think this is one of the best ones! It’s pretty similar but unfortunately I dropped my donut on the ground after this was taken and was really sad I couldn’t eat it.
Both my cousin and I agree this is the best one. My outfit is almost the same other than small detail and the pose is pretty similar as well as the background. I liked all the picture taken from this shoot while recreating Lauren Jauregui from the former band Fifth Harmony.
This was recreating Chrissy Costanza from Against the Current. I think the outfit and pose was very similar but because of the colour of my hair it doing look quite right.
I had so much fun doing these and maybe I’ll do it again sometime. I love getting pictures taken and taking direction and seeing the ending turn out so great! I hope you enjoyed and let me know your favourite!
The first month of a new year gone. It always seems that January lasts twice as long as every other month in a year. A month that not much happens in. For me on January 5th, I got my second holes pierced. This is something I’ve been wanting for about ten years but never got up the courage to just do it, so that’s what I did. In a quick second I just did it before I could rethink it and I’m so happy I did! I love the way it looks and now I want even more!
In the summer my cousin is moving into her own place. We’ve been starting to look at home stores for her to get some items. She has birds so we went on a little car trip (three hours each way in one day) to get a bird stand which was fun! The bird stand was in Milton where we also stopped in their mall but didn’t get anything.
I started a new job at Dominos this month which I’m excited for! It’s a little different than my last location but I think it will be great!
Second Semester started at the beginning of January. I’ve already had a couple mid-terms within the month but I think this semester has been going well so far!
My boyfriend went on a couple dates this month to the casino buffet, to East-Side Mario’s, and on a dinner-arcade-movie date like our old time dates when we first started dating which I loved!
I’ve been really depressed and stressed this month. It happens off and on that’s just the way it is. To try and help me feel better, Kody got me flowers this month which was really sweet. We were able to go out for dinner a couple times and have a good time together.
In this month I watched You and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. In theatres I watched Aquaman, Second Act, and Glass.
I completed playing Sipder-Man which was such an amazing game!
This month I’ve been reading Clash of Kings which I feel like I’ve been reading forever!! So my goal is to at least read a chapter a day to get it done!
Favourite purchase of the moth we’re my new foundation and concealer. I’ve been loving both of them a lot and they’ve been working well with my skin. Another item my boyfriend and I bought that I’m happy about is all seven seasons of Game of Thrones box. My final and favourite purchase of all is Kingdom Hearts 3.
