Last night, my friend and I went to see Camila Cabello at the Filmore. It was amazing! She’s pure talent and has great skills. She’s perfect and I love her music so much. She did such an amazing job being her songs to life on stage with her. She gave out encouraging words and speeches that made such a difference and wonderful atmosphere throughout the night. It was amazing so I wanted to share the night with you.
Bazzi opened for her and before this I only knew one song by him but he’s really good and talented as well. I will definitely be getting his album!
This months Ipsy Bag theme is Social Butterfly.
I like this bag design, it’s covered in butterflies and has two rose gold corners. For not keeping many bags I think this is one I’ll keep it being so cute and spring/summer like.
The first item is Steve Laurant blush. I tried this one and this was not very good at all. I put it on and it would not blend for the life of me. I tried my blush brush and even my fingers. I won’t be keeping this item.
The second item is pūrlisse Coconut Oil + Coffee Sugar Body Scrub. I’m looking forward to trying this out. I have other body scrubs I like and this is a good brand so I’m hoping for good things.
The next item is from one of my favourite brands Smashbox. I’ve used other liquid lipsticks from them before so I can say it’s amazing!
The forth item is H2O beauty Oasis Hydrating Treatment. I used it once and it was very refreshing. Nothing crazy like Clinique products but light enough to get the job done for a couple hours.
The last item is Manna beauty eye shadow stick. I’ve never used one but I guess now I have a place to start.
Overall I wasn’t too happy with this bag. It’s alright but I wasn’t overly excited about any product other than the lipstick which even that I have so many red lipsticks.
On the weekend Kody, his sister, and I went to the movies to watch Truth or Dare. I wanted to watch this movie for three reasons; first of all, Lucy Hale. I love her, I watched her on PLL and loved her album Road Between she released in 2014. Secondly, I love horror/ thriller movies, and last but not least, it looked really good!
A couple weeks ago Kody and I went to watch Tomb Raider. Overall, I would have to say it was alright. It wasn't the best movie out there but it for sure wasn't the worse, it wasn't that bad at at all. This movie was based off of the 2013 video game, or should I say very loosely based off of it. Names are the same and the island and place but so much is different. I understand they wouldn't want to make the same thing but they could have made it a little more similar. Some of the parts they changed I understand due to rating and budget and I actually enjoyed some of the parts they had.
In the video game it has situations that would be very hard to survive but it still be possible, in the movie there are a couple of parts where she should have died.
I feel if you went into the movies not have played the game you most likely would have like the movie more due to the story line. Anyone who has played the game will agree it is very different and because they are comparing it to the game such as I was probably expecting better.
I would go see it again for sure because I still really enjoyed it and apart from the realistic parts of her dying and it being so far away from the actual game. If you like action and adventure movies you will like this one for sure. It brings everything to the table of the girl trying to survive and turn into the Tomb Raider we all saw from the previous movies. The acting was superb and the locations were great. If you go to see this just have an open mind and I believe you will love it!
The month of March went by at a decent paste. Not much happened during the month though. The second week Kody and I went to a Pub with one of his friends for a bit. We had a couple drinks and then went home.
For Easter, Kody’s mum gave us a couple gifts early since she wouldn’t see us around that time. She got me a Harry Potter puzzle that I just started so I haven’t gotten much done.
For St. Patrick’s Day Kody and I (after work) went to the casino. The next morning we had brunch at the buffet there.
Near the end of the month Kody and I bought a turntable and a few records. We got Demi’s newest album, Fall Out Boy Save Rick and Roll, Lana Del Rey Born To Die, My Chemical Romance Black Parade/Living With Ghosts and we got the Tangeled soundtrack because I See The Light is his and my song. We both love it and can’t wait to get more for it!
This month I gave up reading Darker because I just couldn’t finish it. I started and finished Algedonic by r.h. Sin. I loved the poetry and highly recommend! I just started reading the second book in the Game of Throne series ‘A Clash of Kings’.
This month I finished watching Gossip Girl and started watching Bones again. I only went the the movies once this month and it was to watch Tomb Raider. I won’t say too much because a review will be up next well!
