This is as basic as it comes almost everyone that celebrates Christmas does this as it's an easy and fun way to start off getting ready for the holiday.
In my family we always try to decorate at least one ginger bread item. Either a man or a house we just like to have fun being creative. Again this is another tradition most families have.
A movie we always try to watch is A Charlie Brown's Christmas. It's a classic and we've done this as long as I can remember.
Our big family always tried to get together the Sunday before Christmas to celebrate. Some years not everyone is able to make it but we all try our best to come together. We normally play card games and catch up just having a good time.
On Christmas Eve every year, my family watches the claymation version of Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. Whether we're all together sitting on the couch or apart sitting alone, we all watch the movie the night before Christmas and it always gives us a smile.
This is my boyfriends tradition. On Christmas eve night we get one gift, that gift is either a pillow or pajamas (which either way I'm happy). He's always done it and has made it clear we will continue the tradition for him.
At anytime during the winter holiday it is required to eat some Christmas Pillsbury cookies.
