This show is so real, deep, meaningful, powerful, and has such strong messages everyone needs to know. They don't hide away from the dark topics of rape and suicide they present it to the world as a hard, true, and painful thing. The show is very graphic and real it will show the truth and the horrible things people go through.
People need to watch and realize that what they do to others is not okay and everyone needs to treat others better. You never know what's going on in people lives.
Even the music speaks volumes in this show it captures what you should be feeling and goes perfectly with the situations. Lovely soundtrack!
As a person with depression I first read the book when it was minor and still then it had such a powerful meaning. Last year my depression got so bad to the point I didn't care anymore and I didn't have any happiness. I felt alone. I knew what Hannah Baker was feeling. After watching this show, now having gone through that, it meant so much more. It shows how many people suicide affects. It shows that people do care. It shows that people are assholes and we need to find help to get through it.
I truly believe that everyone at one point in their live needs to either read the book or watch this show, especially high school students.
If you aren't watching it I suggest you do. Your perspective on how you treat others could change so much. Like I said it's very graphic and real on the topic of rape and the suicide. Some may not be able to watch those parts but it is important to know what it's like and the pain and suffering of people who are affected by these things. This show presents that extremely well.
They did such an amazing job on the show and now I kind of want to read the book again!
